Why Choose Tony’s Craft Cider

From Dairy Farm to Orchard

Tony’s Craft Cider Company is a locally owned, family-run cidery based on our orchard in Coldstream, British Columbia. The land we farm today was once a dairy operation. Over time, it was converted into a 50-acre orchard, and that shift shaped everything that followed.

Farming has always been at the centre of what we do. Working the land and planting trees taught us patience and respect for the process. Cider grew naturally from that work, as a way to use the fruit we grow and turn it into something meant to be shared.

What we make is guided by the same principles that guide our farming: care, consistency, and a close connection to the land.

Fruit Comes First

Everything we do starts with the apples and cherries from our own orchard. We work with dessert apples, heritage cider apples, and cherry varietals.

Not every piece of fruit is destined for the market, but that doesn’t make it any less valuable. The apples and cherries we use for our ciders are chosen for flavour rather than appearance, meaning fruit that might be passed over on a market table is actually a foundational ingredient in our ciders.

Made on the Farm, Not Just Branded That Way

All of our ciders are produced and packaged right here on the farm. That means the fruit is pressed on site, fermentation happens under our own roof, and every bottle is filled where the apples are grown.

Keeping everything in one place allows us to stay involved at every step and keep the process simple. We can work in small batches, pay attention to how each cider develops, and make sure it tastes the way it should before it ever leaves the orchard.

Our Way of Making Cider

Minimal Intervention

We believe cider should taste like the fruit it’s made from. That’s why we keep processing to a minimum and avoid unnecessary refinement. Our goal is not to make every cider identical, but to preserve the natural character of the apples and cherries in each release.

Naturally Gluten-Free

All of our ciders are naturally gluten free. It’s an inherent part of working with fruit and fermentation, and it makes our ciders accessible to more people.

No Added Sulphites

We do not add sulphites during production. Like all fermented products, our ciders still contain naturally occurring sulphites, but nothing additional is introduced.

No Artificial Flavours

We don’t use artificial flavours or additives. What you taste comes from the fruit itself and the way it’s handled, not from flavouring added later.

Rooted in the Okanagan

Being based in the Okanagan means working in one of the country’s most productive fruit-growing regions. It also means being part of a community that values local food, farming, and thoughtful production.

Our cider reflects that place through the fruit we use and the choices we make on the farm. It’s shaped by the land, the climate, and the people who work it.

From Our Guests

"Friendliest place around. Nothing like a nice country setting. They were closing soon and they said no problem, just stay as long as you want...The deck is a warm and friendly place to gather with friends. Samosas were the best I’ve ever had. My favourite cider flavour is “Pekoe”. Super knowledgeable, friendly, totally accommodating. "

"Some of the best cider I've ever had! No added sugars, no sulphates, and nothing artificial! Look no further for some of the cleanest and freshest cider around. As well, the amazing non-alcoholic apple cider has a special place in my heart. Make sure you try it!"
